Jess Rona is the most influential groomer today, having built a cult-like following on social media with her signature musical slow-mo blowout videos and her impressive celebrity clientele.
Jess spent her 20s and 30s grooming dogs during the day, and doing improv at night. Now her two worlds are colliding in a multi-dimensional grooming empire. She is known as an award winning groomer & instructor, a content creator, and comedian.
Several brands have tapped Jess to promote and create original content including Apple, Valentino, Paul Mitchell, Bissell, The Standard Hotel, Ouai, Outdoor Voices, The Hoxton Hotels, Kove, Casper, and more.
“If there were an award for best slow motion music video of fashionably groomed dogs on Instagram, Jess Rona would win it, hands down.” -Hollywood Reporter
Jess has directed commercials and a music video for Tegan & Sara. She’s also guest starred on shows like New Girl, Drunk History and One Mississippi. She is also executive producer and star of the most adorable competition series of all time: Haute Dog on HBOMax, inspired by Jess's life and brand.
When she's not creating poodle content, you can find her at her flagship brick and mortar in Larchmont Village in Los Angeles or snuggling with husband- actor Eric Edelstein and their two rescue pups.
Meet The Team
The unique team that brings it all to life.
Amanda (aka “Andy”) began her career in 2017, learning to groom with both corporate and mobile companies, and has now been with JRG since June 2022. Her current goal is to groom competitively, and to one day become a National Certified Master Groomer. Originally planning to be a crime scene photographer, she earned a BA in Photography and a CSI certification. As much as she loved that field, though, she turned her creative eye towards making dogs look cute, a wise move for her sanity. She’s a proud pet parent of her standard poodle Mia, as well as two cats and five chickens. To see Amanda’s work, check her out on Instagram @andythegroomer
Born and raised in the valley, Brooke is a patient and loving member of JRG and has been grooming since 2014. She loves to groom anything floofy and doodly, and has a soft spot for senior pups. Her main priority above all else is assuring that the pups are comfortable and happy. Her grooming style is inspired by groomers in Japan, Korea, and of course by Jess Rona’s very own cute face blueprint. She is a mom to her Lhasa-apso Poodle, Sushi, and her Malti-poo, Leia. Born and raised in The Valley, Deni always knew she wanted to work with animals. In 2014, Deni started working at a grooming salon and found her passion. She noticed quickly that many dogs were nervous for grooming, so Deni made it her goal to make the experience as cozy as possible for each pup. 11 years later, Deni has found how to make every dog feel safe and loved while being groomed. When she's not grooming, you can find her horseback riding or reading a fantasy novel.
William Liermann is a bather that has been working with Jess since 2010. Will treats every dog as his own. Combining his love for dogs with his relentless work ethic, eye for detail and patience, he strives to give dogs the best experience he can. He’s also a skilled drummer of 30 years, and has toured all over the world. To see Will’s work, check him out on Instagram @will_the_bather
Karla has been an animal lover her whole life. Originally from Arkansas, Lenny’s passion for animals began on family farms, eventually growing into a career of getting to pet dogs every day. With a belief that art can be found anywhere, even in a bath, he treats every pup like their own masterpiece, painting the foundational layer for rest of the detail work to come. Since beginning grooming in 2023, Lenny is grateful and excited to continue in collaboration with such talented groomers and beautiful animals.
Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Abby made her way to Los Angeles nearly five years ago. With a background in art and design (including studies at Parsons School of Design), she’s always had an eye for beauty and detail. Drawing on years of experience leading operations and elevating client experiences within the grooming industry, she joined JRG Salon as General Manager, keeping the salon organized, welcoming, and running like clockwork. In her free time, she’s usually baking something indulgent, crafting something cozy, or being followed from room to room by her shorkie, Hazel.
Jocelyn is a lifelong dog lover! Originally studying to be a veterinarian, she stumbled upon dog grooming, and found her passion making dogs look and feel their best. Now, she is combining her love for dog grooming and social media! Jocelyn’s goal is to make every dog feel happy and cozy during their groom, all while sharing the perfect pics and videos! Your baby knows her as the treat fairy (anything to get that perfect shot)! When she’s not working, she enjoys scrolling on TikTok & eating snacks, cuddled up to her dog Bailey, and 2 cats, Kewpie and Panther.
Nicknamed "King Collie Dog" by his family, Colin has been a dog lover all his life. After fighting in the trenches as an assistant in LA for many years, Colin finally found his way to JRG in 2022 and it was love at first sight. When he's not busy helping Jess make the world a cozier place, you can find him writing screenplays at his Valley Village home, or noshing on his latest culinary fixation (because, let's be real, food is his love language).
Meemu Rona Edelstein is the shop manager, he oversees the staff and decides who gets to go on lunch. (It depends on who has a bite or two for him). Despite his gambling problems of the past, we trust him to run the desk solely because he is a master at delegating. He will get you to do pretty much anything. And if you have cheese in your hand, you can get him to do anything as well.
Likes: Long walks, Columbo reruns, sniffing, tug of war
Dislikes: Knocking, cats, squirrels,
There’s never been a more perfect dog who has never made one single mistake.
